Resolution 2767 mandates the African Union to establish structures, ensuring clear command and control, operational coordination among contingents, and coordinated decision making under the Force Commander and Sector Commanders.
AUSSOM shall be headed by a Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission for Somalia, to whom each component shall report separately. The Force Commander shall come from the largest Troop Contributing Country, and he/she shall have clear command and control over all the forces of the mission.
